Moodboards

The Hippie revolution in the sixties was in fact just a small part of what the decade had to offer visually. When I looked at my key words "sophisticated and feminine" I realised that I had to really figure out how to use the visuals so as to convey that feel.

As I began to look at images I started putting them together into rough moodboards so as to give me an idea of what I liked and wanted to use. I noticed that the moodboards began to look a certain way giving me an idea as to how to go about treating the fabric.

Since I worked on some of these moodboards by hand it gave it a whole new feel. Something I really like and want to take forward.

Julie, my client gave me a great tip on how to make a moodboard: After you make one take a piece of paper and scribble out your ideas. If you can keep going then the moodboard works!
