During my last review meeting I was told that I should start looking at illustrators who work with text. Of course I got a little carried away and found some great artists whose work is helping me figure out my own style.
Is there anything Marcos Chin hasn't done? After all, the man is one of North America's most famous illustrators, with his unmistakeable brand of intricate linework confidently mixing vivid caricatures with fashion illustration influences.
I love Ward Schumaker for his grunge textures and interesting use of text.
Jillian Tamaki is such a versatile artist. Her work ranges from using conventional medium to working with heavily vectorized images. Its the latter that I seem to be more drawn to though.
While looking for things about the sixties I came across a photographer called phillip townsend. His photographs capture the time so well!

found these gorgeous necklaces by shadowplay on the outsapop blog the other day. Thought they went perfectly with my delicate, feminine theme.
When I started thinking resort collection something that came up were hats! Eugenia Kim's hat collection for target is so much fun even though her colour palate is so muted.
I know its not fashion but this music video gave me a lot of inspiration on how I want my collection to look.
the song isn't bad either!
